The key to our success rests in our volunteers who embody the spirit of greatness by saying, "Yes I can, and so can you!" Thank you so much for your hard work. We could never have asked for more dedicated volunteers, and we cannot express how grateful we are to have you here!
Mabel shares a kind word every day and rarely complains. She has been volunteering here at the Bismarck Senior Center for 10 years. She has carried trays, helped with decorations, and served on the Advisory Committee.
These days, she works in the Craft Room making lots of handmade goods and also pours coffee at lunch. She says she started coming here because she heard it was a nice place to make new friends when she was no longer working at Marion Manor Nursing Home in Glen Ullin. When she isn’t here, she enjoys bowling at Midway Lanes, reading, music, working in her flower beds, and spending time with her three children and six grandchildren living between here and Minneapolis. She’s also traveled quite a bit, from Hawaii to Israel and China. But she says she keeps coming back to the Senior Center for the nice people she works with, good food, and all the activities.
Thanks, Mabel, for your hard work and great attitude!
