Volunteers

You Make It Happen!

The key to our success rests in our volunteers who embody the spirit of greatness by saying, "Yes I can, and so can you!" Thank you so much for your hard work. We could never have asked for more dedicated volunteers, and we cannot express how grateful we are to have you here!

Betty Moen

Betty has been volunteering at the Bismarck Senior Center for nineteen years! She crochets caps and mittens and knits dish towels for the Gift Shop. Before coming to the Center she lived in Rolla, ND and ran a daycare out of her home for 30 years. When her husband retired they moved to Bismarck and that’s when she started coming to the Senior Center. She said her house was way too quiet and she needed to get out and meet new people and keep herself busy. Betty has one daughter, two sons, three granddaughters and five great grandchildren. One of her sons lives in Sioux Falls, SD, the other lives in St. Cloud, MN and her daughter lives in Bismarck. When she isn’t at the Senior Center, she enjoys attending her great grandchildren’s school activities and sporting events. Betty continues coming to the Bismarck Senior Center because it keeps her active and she gets to meet a lot of new people. Betty, we appreciate all that you do for the Bismarck Senior Center!
